When discussing adding new blinds to a child’s room for a family that moved to Rancho Cucamonga, the subject of window covering safety came up.

There are many options for selecting shades or blinds for a child’s room.  There are many styles and colors to choose from such as vertical blinds, mini blinds or roman shades.  There is a wide variety of colors and textures to choose from to match the items already in the child room.  However, where children and pets are concerned safety is of utmost importance.

It should be common knowledge that children and pets can play with and become entangled with hanging chords.  This does not have to happen as we have cordless options for most of our blinds and shades.  Using blinds that do not have a cord is both attractive and safer for homes and rooms with pets and animals.

They work easily and efficiently and provide a clean look to the window.  Many people prefer to use the cordless option even when they do not have children or pets.  When viewing blinds on our site make sure you check to see if the cordless option is available for you on the blinds you’re interested in and let us know when you speak with us on the phone that you would like this safety option.  Here is a video that explains how to keep your children and pets safe when installing blinds in your home.
